Asylum is a British comedy series which was shown on Paramount Comedy Channel in 1996. Set in a mental asylum, it ran for one series of six episodes. Unlike traditional sitcoms or comedy television shows, it was to some extent an opportunity for stand-up routines by various comedians, mixed with an overall story involving much black humour. It is significant for involving a large number of British comedians, many who have gone on to work on some of the most successful comedy programmes of the last decade. It marked the first collaboration of Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson, who would go on to make cult sitcom Spaced. Many of the characters names were the same as those of the actors who portrayed them. David Devant & His Spirit Wife were the "house band" for the series, performing segments in every episode, from their first album, Work, Lovelife, Miscellaneous. The lead-in track "Ginger" served as the programme's title music. The series has yet to be released on DVD; however, the full episodes are viewable on Norman Lovett's website.

Britain's Got Idiots is the stunning debut DVD of Andy Parsons, the star of Mock The Week and Live at the Apollo. Panic over, he’s back! Everyone’s favourite grumbling funny man and star of BBC2’s Mock The Week, Andy Parsons is back on the road in 2011 with his brand new show, Gruntled. Britain's foremost topical comedian returns to the stage and DVD for more logically rigorous, cutting edge comedy. Expect the usual clever politically inspired bemusements and disappointedly crushed enthusiasm. This is a sharp, thought provoking show by one of our most astute comedians in the UK.

Politicians complain of a left-wing media bias but there are plenty of rightwing comedians it just seems that most of them are being investigated by Operation Yewtree. Maybe its a deliberate smokescreen given that politicians, rather than journalists or estate agents, are now the least respected and trusted of all professions. Boris Johnson is the only current politician in the country with a popularity above 1. Comedians have seen this and are standing to be politicians. Are you going to lie back and let the clowns take over? Are you going to stick your head under the duvet as Bozzer de Pfeffel Johnson rides his crazy zipwire into town? Mind you that duvet is warm and cosy, isnt it? And theres a cup of tea available. And a muffin. And a chocolate cupcake.

With four sell out national tours, three DVD releases and a special for Comedy Central already under his belt, Andy Parsons, is back on the road with fifth show 'Live And Unleashed - But Naturally Cautious' which saw the star of BBC2's 'Mock The Week' and 'Live At At The Apollo' hit the road again delivering more sharp comedy up and down the UK.
