Film6.8KomediDram"Charlestown Chiefs" için spor tam anlamıyla hüzünlü bir mesele: Bu köhne sanayi kentinin buz hokeyi takımı, kelimenin tam anlamıyla ligin en dip noktasında yer alıyor. Maç üstüne maç kaybediyorlar ve puan tablosunda adları bile anılmıyor. Taraftarlar onları ıslıklarla protesto ederken, oyuncuların eşleri bile bu sefalete gözlerini kapatıp başka yönlere bakıyor. Ancak işler değişmeye başlar. Antrenör Reggie (Paul Newman), sonunda kendini tutamaz ve rakip takımın kalecisini hakaretlerle kışkırtır. Sonuç? Büyük bir kavga, kurallara aykırı sert müdahaleler ve Chiefs’in ilk galibiyeti! Uzun zamandır beklenen çıkışın sırrı keşfedilmiştir. Takım, psikolojik savaş ve özellikle sert oyun taktikleriyle rakiplerini birer birer yere serer. Taraftarlar bu yeni tarza bayılır, özellikle de Hanson Kardeşler’in sahaya çıkışıyla coşku doruğa ulaşır...

Film5.9DramTarihA writer, Kamouraska is based on a real nineteenth-century love-triangle in rural Québec. It paints a poetic and terrifying tableau of the life of Elisabeth d'Aulnières: her marriage to Antoine Tassy, squire of Kamouraska; his violent murder; and her passion for George Nelson, an American doctor. Passionate and evocative, Kamouraska is the timeless story of one woman's destructive commitment to an ideal love.

Film6.1DramKomediBernadette has a yen to chuck it all and go back to nature, in this French-language Canadian film. That's just what she does after carefully leaving her wedding ring where her affluent husband, a lawyer, can see it. She has bought a farm, complete with a run-down farmhouse and a live-in cranky old man. Soon, because of the wonderful effects that her sympathy and her outsider's perspective have, her neighbors perceive great improvements in their lives. They attribute these changes to something miraculous (perhaps taking a cue from her name), and hordes of needy people descend on her farm.
