Kazushige Nagashima

Yoshitsune is a Japanese television drama series originally broadcast between 9 January and 11 December 2005, with a three-part special compilation being aired from 24 December to 25 December 2005. The 44th Taiga Drama, the original work is by Miyao Tomiko, screenplay by Kaneko Narito and starring Hideaki Takizawa.

Kintaro Yajima comes to Tokyo and is hired by Yamato Construction Company when he saves the life of the company's CEO. A former leader of a motorcycle gang, Kintaro is known for his highly principled and forthright way of dealing with matters and is never afraid to tell his superiors exactly what he thinks. This has a tendency of irritating some; but when corruption from within the company begins to surface, he may be the only one who can stand up to it.

Kintarō Yajima used to be the leader of a feared and respected biker gang, but out of respect for his late wife he chooses to straighten himself out and work as a salaryman so that he can support his son.

A young boy, J. Shuro, meets the legendary pitcher Eiji Sawamura in the Philippines during World War II. Sawamura shares his dreams of one day gathering the nine Astro Superhumans – who all were born nine minutes and nine seconds past nine on September 9th of the 29th year of Showa (1954) and all have baseball-shaped birthmarks on their bodies – to form the ultimate baseball team capable of beating the Yomiuri Giants and any U.S. Major League team. When Sawamura dies during the war, Shuro decides to help fulfill his idol’s dream and goes in search of the nine ball players. But the team that is formed does not play ordinary ball. These extraordinary players demonstrate extraordinary plays on the field and some will not stop until everything – even their lives – is left on the field.

While working in the leisurely atmosphere at a food company's factory, Futaro is asked to return to their corporate headquarters by his good friend. Unfortunately, he finds himself assistant to Izumi, a highly demanding expert on Italian food culture. Futaro gets off to a rocky start with his new female boss, and always seems to be saying or doing the wrong thing. He also doesn't seem to be particularly suited to his new position on the Italian Restaurant Project, considering he doesn't even like tomatoes! But Futaro may still have a few tricks left up his sleeve that he can use to win over Izumi and find success in his new job.

Set in a large hospital, this moving human drama depicts the conflicts and struggles of two young doctors as they face their patients with conviction and passion. Kazuma Asou, who helps out in his friend's clinic, is a doctor enjoying a peaceful life on rural Ishigaki Island. However, his father's death causes him to move to Tokyo and he starts working for a big hospital where he meets his old rival from his amateur boxing days, surgeon Kanzaki. Memories of their past return, and Asou finds himself once again competing with his popular counterpart. Their rivalry is further exacerbated by the two men's wildly different personalities, and it begins to involve the other doctors and nurses.

Ippei Akabane (Takaya Kamikawa) is an unpopular novelist. He barely makes ends meet writing serials novels under different pen names. Daigo Kurei (Shinji Takeda) is on death row. He killed four women twelve years ago. During his murdering spree, he sent pictures of his decapitated victims with flower decoration to the police. The murders and photos caused widespread panic in Japan. One day, Ippei is contacted by Daigo from prison. He asks Ippei if he wants to interview him and write his memoirs. Soon, more women are killed in the same grisly manner as the serial murders from twelve years ago. Now, Ippei becomes the prime suspect of the police and Ippei must quickly find the real murderer. Directed by Junya Sato and based on a book by Jun Henmi, "Yamato" has a framing story set in the present day and uses flashbacks to tell the story of the crew of the World War II Japanese battleship Yamato. The film was never released in the United States, where reviewers who have seen it have compared the military epic to "Titanic" and "Saving Private Ryan."

Kotone (Tomoka Kurotani) is the wife of Mitsuru Kiba (Kazushige Nagashima), boss of the Kiba gang in the Saikyo Alliance. She hides a girl named Sakura Nishizawa (Rina Koike), who is chased by Azami (Natsuki Harada). Azami is the wife of Kato (Masayuki Imai), boss of the Kato gang in the Saikyo Alliance. Years ago, Azami's lover was murdered by Mitsuru Kiba. To get revenge, she married Kato. Through the girl Sakura Nishizawa, Kotone and Azami unexpectedly meet and become involved in a large conspiracy.

Set in the beautiful natural surroundings of Boso Town, Chiba Prefecture, this heartwarming drama depicts the bonds between people connected by letters. Ryuhei Kaieda is a postman who takes pride in delivering letters quickly and reliably. Two years ago, he lost his wife and has been raising his middle school daughter Ayumi Kaieda and elementary school son Teppei on his own, but conflict arises between him and his daughter over her future education.
