Dünya, ülkelerin arasındaki politik çıkmazlar sebebiyle büyük bir savaşın gölgesindedir. Bu dünyada gençliğine ulaşmaya çabalayan bir çocuk ise kasabalarına gelen, güzeller güzeli bir genç kadın olan Malena'nın etkisiyle kendi erkek kimliğini bulmak üzeredir. Malena, tüm güzelliğiyle faşist bir İtalyan kasabasını derinden etkilemektedir.
