Film8.5DramIn the small community of Åmotfors in Värmland, Olof lives a quiet life as a beekeeper after losing his partner many years ago. All that remains is his teenage daughter Lise, who increasingly seeks to escape the confines of home. Olof struggles to reach her, and grief has long lain buried in silence—until he suddenly falls ill and is forced to confront all that has remained unspoken. With great sensitivity, Marcus Carlsson portrays the different stages of life and reminds us how the fragility between people can hold both pain and light.
Film3.5KorkuDramElliot Tittensor (TV's Shameless) stars as Daz in headlining film PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT, a gripping British film debut that sees him woo a young lad in an underpass, only to be threatened with a break-up the following morning. Passive and submissive roles are tackled and tugged in gay graffiti tale VANDALS and Icelandic grapple-fest WRESTLING, while POSTMORTEM, MY NAME IS LOVE, and Iris Prize-winner STEAM look at promising encounters that turn awry. Rounding out the collection are HEIKO, an alternative ode to foot fetishes, BREATH where 12-year-old Erik swims out to sea to make a daring move on his best friend's father, and the crème de la crème from this collection TREVOR, which won multiple prestigious awards from Sundance, Berlinale, and even The Academy Awards (Oscar) for Best Short Film.

Upon meeting a suicidal Swedish psychologist Mikael Anderson, he seizes an opportunity for an identity switch. Raspberry Boat Refugee is a comedy about cultural differences in the Nordic countries, their nationalism and, not least, prejudices about our neighbours. It also proves how futile it is to try to escape oneself.
