Film7.0DramMonte Helmanın 1971’de yönettiği two lane blacktop tarihin belki de tek existansiyel otomobil filmi olarak ders kitaplarına geçti. Beach boys üyesi denis wilsonun tamirci, dönemin en ünlü folk şarkıcısı james taylorın şoför ve varren oatesın çok konuşan gto sahibi olarak rol aldığı filmde neredeyse hiç konuşma yok. Filmin başrol otomobilleri 55 chevy 454 ve 70 pontiac gto’dur. 55 chevy hala çok moda olan mat gri ve devasa bir 454 motora sahip. Öte yandan çok boş zamanı ve parası olan bir pilotu canlandıran oates yolda karşılaştığı chevy ile yeni satın aldığı sarı gtoyu devamlı kapıştırmaya çalışıyor. Fakat taylor ve wilson süper cool oldukları için bu teklifle neredeyse hiç ilgilenmiyorlar. Filmin bir diğer karakteri olan otostopçu kız ile olan ilişkileri ise tam bir muamma şeklinde sürüyor. Kesinlikle her otomobilcinin arşivinde bulunması gereken bir film.
