Set in Czechoslovakia, the drama follows the lives of its characters against the backdrop of real historical events that shape their personal stories. To evoke period atmosphere, the series intersperses authentic clips from vintage Czechoslovak film newsreels, using their original commentaries or newly recorded historical voice-overs by Vladimír Fišer. A narrator, initially voiced by Vojtěch Kotek and later by Matěj Hádek, provides continuity and reflection, guiding viewers through changing times. Under the guidance of screenwriter Rudolf Merkner, each episode’s script weaves family and individual dramas into key moments of Czech and Slovak history: political shifts, cultural trends, and social transformations from the 1960s onward.

The heroine's relationship with her daughter, lover, mother, and ex-husband is portrayed very convincingly and without the slightest idealization, reflecting the ambiguity and controversy of the contemporary female condition. Although the author accumulates in his novel and television script almost all the paradoxes of today's self-employed woman in the heroine, nevertheless (or precisely because of this) her story reflects the experience of most contemporary women. Especially those who place high demands on themselves and others, which, however, can rarely be met one hundred percent. And if it turns out that we owe the greatest debt to our own daughter, then it is no surprise that everything starts to change completely...

More than a year has passed since the last time we saw Julio Lavický (Jakub Stáfek) (yes, it was when he "sold" the match, but forgot about it and scored a beautiful goal). Lavi is, as his agent would say Jarda (Jakub Prachar), still the same demented person, but he finally started to do well. Both in football and in his personal life. With Vysehrad, he advanced to the second league, where he leads the scorers' table, once again wealthier clubs are eyeing him, he even asked for the hand of his girlfriend Lucia (Sárka Vaculíková), Jarda's sister... At the wedding, which cost a fortune, but he discovers that he already has an eight-year-old son, which will definitely not please the newlywed. not to lose his wife on his wedding day, to take care of his child, which is a long way from him, to get from Vysehrad to somewhere higher, or to fight with the practices of a certain football Dad... It's just rushing like an avalanche again - from one problem to another second.

Serving a miserly farmer would be unbearable if Janos didn't have such a pretty and sweet daughter. At the beginning of this detective story, the body of Martin Horák, owner of a car repair shop, is found in a bathtub. The police eventually close the case as a suicide. However, detective Pavel Vondra is not convinced and begins to unravel the threads of this initially seemingly clear case of an accident...

"A documentary anatomy of mass murder for one monitor and 34 talking heads." These are the words the filmmakers use in the credits to describe their project, which thematises the execution of more than 260 Carpathian Germans, Hungarians and Slovaks by Czechoslovak army soldiers near Přerov in June 1945. The “massacre at Přerov” is made present through a minimalist dramatisation of the interrogation footage of direct participants, eyewitnesses, and others. It is as if the characters of ancient theatre were entering the Zoom “stage” and delivering a tragic message of fear, hatred and disinterest across the chasm of time.

Six characters are all interested in money. The relationship between two spouses, depicted with subtle irony. The main character is Zdeněk, a professor of botany who is unable to calculate his bill at a restaurant, and waiters look forward to seeing him from afar. He is the ideal target for con artists. His wife Sára, with whom he no longer lives but maintains a very friendly relationship, takes care of his taxes. Zdeněk has a rather attractive gardening show on television. In order not to lose out, Sára invented Miss Flintová, to whose account she sends generous sums for alleged PR services. The enterprising tax advisor extended Miss Flintová's activities to her other clients as well. It is a million-dollar fraud.No wonder the tax office is taking an interest in Miss Flint. They are searching for her diligently. Even the surprised and indignant honest man Zdeněk learns of the existence of the non-existent Miss Flint. Where to conjure up Miss Flint all of a sudden?

Pavel may be in his forties, but he still hasn't fully matured. He lives with his mother and lacks the courage to do what would truly fulfill him in life. He only gets this when he meets his childhood sweetheart, Tereza, and spends an adventurous night with her. However, Tereza is not ready to leave her current life for someone who, according to her, is not a real man. So Pavel decides to become exactly that kind of guy. He signs up for a training camp in the Tatras led by Weisner, who teaches everything from chopping wood to seducing women. Will Pavlo manage to overcome himself and become the man Tereza longs for?

The subject of this film, which takes an analytical look at the life of all of us with an analytical eye, is the evil microbe that has slowly infiltrated the organism of the Czech nation. Through the intertwining fates of three couples, it evokes domestic life before November 1989, burdened by a suffocating atmosphere of unfreedom, and after November, when relatively nothing has changed because people have not changed. The bleak conclusion suggests that the plague epidemic is still ongoing.
