Amerikan CBS televizyonu tarafından yayınlanan dizi 24 Emmy, 6 Altın Küre ödülüne aday gösterilmiştir. Dizi Türkiye'de TRT tarafından Kanıt Peşinde adı altında yayınlanmaktaydı. Dizide şef Gil Grissom ve ekibi her bölümde ayrı bir davaya/cinayete açıklık getiriyorlar.

Konularının uzmanı suç mahali araştırma dedektifleri, en karmaşık olaylarda bile cinayetleri çözmeye çalışıyor. Bu araştırmacı grubun başındaki isim ise eski bir cinayet dedektifi olan Horatio Caine... Miami'nin tropikal güzelliklerinin, gece yaşamının ve kültürel noktalarının fon oluşturduğu dizide detektiflerimiz, cinayetleri çözmek ve çoğu zaman kendileri için konuşamayan kurbanları temize çıkarmak için kanıt peşine düşüyorlar.
