People experience adventures on mountains all around the world. Personalities, fascinated by the world of the mountains, bring us closer to the freedom many people experience in such breezy hights.

A fascinating chronology of 100 years of mountain film history in the Alps. This documentary focuses primarily on films shot on the Matterhorn, the Eiger, and the Grandes Jorasses, considered until the 1930s as the "last problems of the Alps," and shows the evolution of mountain filmmaking through numerous excerpts from documentaries and feature films – notably on the Matterhorn in 1901. The genre, appropriated as a means of mass exaltation by "fascist" regimes during the Second World War, was reinvented in the 1950s by Gaston Rebuffat, Marcel Ichac, and Lionel Terray in the Mont Blanc massif, avant-garde figures of French mountain cinema, who reintroduced, beyond performance, the values of the mountains – and in color – poetry, humor, and sharing among people from all walks of life.

With the proliferation of private climbing gyms and the sport's inclusion in the Olympic Games, climbing, long a counter-cultural movement, is undergoing a profound transformation and facing a major paradox. On the one hand, private gyms are enjoying increasing popularity, while on the other, natural climbing sites are under serious threat. What vertical legacy will we leave to future generations? Is outdoor climbing destined to disappear? What will the future hold for climbing? Led by Cédric Lachat, a multi-award-winning Swiss climber, the film provides an international overview of this counter-culture, which has recently become a social phenomenon.

At the Limit is a documentary about extreme climbing. In this sports documentary, Pepe Danquart shows brothers Thomas and Alexander Huber climbing in Patagonia and on the granite rock "El Capitan" in Yosemite Valley (USA). A key part of the film is their attempt at a speed ascent of the 1,000-meter-high route "The Nose," in which the two athletes aim to break the then speed record of 2:48:30 hours, set by Hans Florine and Yuji Hirayama in September 2002.

Welcome to the wildest competition known to man -- the speed record on the Nose route of El Capitan. Yosemite legends Dean Potter and Hans Florine go head-to-head, racing up 3,000 feet of vertical rock in under three hours, risking life and limb.

The climbing brothers Thomas and Alexander Huber attempt to conquer free the infamous "Bavarian Direttissima" (upper tenth degree of difficulty) on the iconic Mt. Asgard on the Arctic Baffin Island (Canada). A 40 days expedition with polar bears, frostbite and climbing at the peril of their lifes.

Dynamism and precision, confidence and concentration, incredible strength and 100 percent control of the body. These are the ingredients for extreme climbing. The Huber brothers have plenty of this! For one last time, they want to prove to all their friends and followers that they can still handle extremely difficult routes. It is their last big goal and for this they chose an incredibly steep wall in the Alps that they have not yet been able to conquer. This is part of what is perhaps the most difficult route in the Alps, the " Karma " route. The film also portrays the Huber brothers outside the world of mountains and climbing. The viewer will also get to know them as musicians and they will talk about the past, long-gone successes and failures. In addition to a very personal story, you will also see never-before-seen 3D images of extreme beauty and depth.
