The Story of a Three Day Pass (1967): Kimlik, Aşk ve Yabancılaşmanın Aynasında Melvin Van Peebles’in The Story of a Three Day Pass, 1960’ların toplumsal gerilimlerini, bireysel kimlik arayışıyla harmanlayan, Fransız Yeni Dalgası’nın estetiğini Afro-Amerikan deneyimiyle buluşturan çarpıcı bir ilk filmdir. The Story of a Three Day Pass, hem sinematografik cesareti hem de derin politik alt metniyle zamansız bir başkaldırıdır.
