Sürekli olarak benzer olaylarla aşağılanan ve hırpalanan Cabiria incinir ama asla yıkılmaz. Cabiria'nın minik bedeni ve tavırları biraz Charlie Chaplin'in canlandırdığı 'Küçük Serseri' yi anımsatır. Cesur ve gözü pektir; ama bir o kadar da naiftir, kırılgan ve savunmasızdır. Benzersiz iyimserliği, özgürlüğüne ve bağımsızlığına olan aşırı tutkusu ile 'altın kalpli fahişe' mitinin ete kemiğe bürünmüş halidir. Islah olmayı kabullenmez ama suçluluk da duymaz.
