In early 1900s rural Trentino, Vanni and Agnese's life is upended by the arrival of Luzia, a young woman scarred by abuse. She claims to be a victim of the Mazaròl, a folkloric creature that kidnaps women in the woods.

Marco is an anxious nineteen-year-old approaching his final exams, with three subjects to catch up on, a mother glued to her smartphone, and a brother who dreams of becoming an indie singer. He is antisocial and wishes he could love the way people used to. Aria graduated the previous year, has *one day at a time* tattooed on her arm, and lives every day as if it were her last.

A doctor examines a migrant's body recovered from the sea. During inspection, she finds a plastic bag with a suspicious substance that magically makes her relive the boy's migration journey.

The series was created with the intention of blending the art of musical theater with the life experiences of a group of young aspiring actors and performers.
