Mario Bava’nın A Bay of Blood filmi, slasher türünün öncüsü kabul edilen bir İtalyan korku klasiğidir. 1971 yapımı bu film, 13 karakterin vahşi şekillerde öldürülmesini konu alarak, Halloween (1978) ve Friday the 13th (1980) gibi filmlere ilham vermiştir. Basit bir konuya sahip olan film, bir koyu satın almak isteyenler ile orada yaşayanlar arasındaki cinayetler zincirini işler. The latter, wishing to separate the antagonists, seriously burns herself by knocking over an autogenous welding block, which explodes. Taken to hospital, she asks for and receives her husband's forgiveness.
