
Javier Alberto Methol Abal

Javier Alfredo Methol Abal was a Uruguayan businessman and lecturer. He was one of the 16 survivors of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 and the oldest survivor. After the disaster, he returned to the tobacco company Abal Hnos., where he later served as a director and corporate affairs executive. He also became a public speaker and founded the ¡Viven! Foundation in 2007.
