II. Dünya Savaşı sırasında Adolf Hitler’e karşı düzenlenen başarısız suikast girişimini konu alan, Tom Cruise’un başrolde olduğu tarihi bir gerilim filmidir. Film, Nazi rejimini içeriden çökertmeyi amaçlayan Alman subaylarının cesur planını anlatır. Albay Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise), Nazi rejiminin işlediği katliamları gördükten sonra Hitler’e karşı harekete geçmeye karar verir, planın adı ise “Operasyon Valkyrie”’dir. Bu operasyon, Hitler’e suikast düzenleyip ardından Valkyrie adlı acil durum planını kullanarak Nazi rejimini içeriden devirmeyi hedefler.

II. Dünya Savaşı'nda Almanya'nın yenilgiye uğramasının ardından, Mayıs 1945'te bir grup genç Alman savaş esiri Danimarkalı yetkililer tarafından ülkeye getirilir. Çıplak elleriyle... - Film gerçek olaylardan uyarlanmıştır * ilk sahnesinden son sahnesine kadar savaşın insanlar üzerinde yarattığı tahribatı çok net anlatabilmiş. mekan, karakter, diyalog ve hikaye olarak sade ama duygusal derinliği büyük. savaştan fiziken kurtulsanız bile mental olarak kurtulmanın imkansız olduğunu söylüyor sanki.. izlenmeye değer bir post-war filmi.

In the late 70s, young Petra Grust begins teaching at the progressive Odenwald School. She is flattered by the trust placed in her by its widely respected headmaster Simon Pistorius. But gradually certain incidents at the boarding school begin to unsettle her. Petra then realizes that Pistorius is abusing Frank, a 13-year-old. When Frank is told that he has to spend school holidays with Pistorius, he tries to commit suicide. Petra tells Frank's father (the chairman of the school's governing body) but he believes Pistorius instead of his own son. Petra fails to convince people of the man's true nature. 30 years later, Frank goes to Petra, who has long since left the school and has stopped teaching altogether. He has never been able to speak about what happened but now, after the suicide of another pupil, he is no longer willing to remain silent. He wants Petra to bear witness at the school's forthcoming anniversary celebrations.

Based on the childhood memories of actor Michael Degen, the movie deals with the everyday struggle to survive as a Jewish boy in Nazi Germany. As his father had died in 1940 after being released from the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Michael and his mother fear to be deported themselves. They manage to live in Berlin with false names and faked papers, hidden by several, often broken, people...

The film is set in a country house in Germany on that summer day in 1918 when Germany became a republic and the former emperor left the country.
