Leaving behind a successful career, Celia pursues an art degree in Italy hoping to find her true passion–only to have her new roommate go missing, the local man she’s dating a prime suspect. All alone in an unfamiliar country, she’s forced to team up with her eccentric expat Aunt Rosa, estranged from the family decades before, to save her friend and bring the kidnapper to justice.

Suffering from trauma induced memory loss after a mass shooting, Hannah finds herself spiraling dangerously out of control as the anniversary of the event nears, threatening to destroy her carefully crafted veneer of normalcy, her relationship with her wife and even her life.

Extraordinary-but-true stories of past relationships that went seriously awry are detailed, when one partner’s behavior goes from romantic… to excessive… and then to the extreme. Each episode follows the intrepid souls who venture out in search of love, but end up in a desperate search for escape.
