Bu filmle Sean Connery ikinci kez Bond’u oynar.Sovyet İstihbarat Ordusunda görevli onbaşı Tatiana Romanova, İstanbul Büyükelçiliğinde katip olarak gönderilmiştir. Romanova ülkesi için her türlü fedakarlığı yapmaya hazırdır. Fakat komutanı Klebb aynı zamanda Spectre hesabına çalışmaktadır ve Spectre Dr. No’nun intikamını almayı planlamaktadır. Klebb'e güvenmeyen Romanova, İstanbul’da Ali Kerim Bey ile irtibat kurarak LEKTOR kodlama makinasını da yanına alıp Sovyetlerden ayrılmak istediğini, planını ancak James Bond yardım ederse gerçekleştirebileceğini söyler. Kadın gizli bir dosyada gördüğü bir resimdeki adama aşık olduğunu iddia etmektedir. M ve Bond bunun bir tuzak olduğuna inanmaktadırlar fakat denemeye değecektir. Bond, Romanova’ya yardım etmek üzere Türkiye’ye gönderilir.

The New Avengers is a British secret agent fantasy adventure television series broadcast during 1976 and 1977. It is a sequel to the 1960s series The Avengers and was developed by Albert Fennell and Brian Clemens. A joint United Kingdom-France-Canada production, the show picks up the adventures of John Steed and his team of Avengers fighting evil plots and world domination. Whereas in the original series Steed had almost always been partnered with a woman, in the new series he had two partners: Mike Gambit, a top agent, crack marksman and trained martial artist, and Purdey, a former trainee with The Royal Ballet who was an amalgam of many of the best talents from Steed's previous female partners.

The Protectors is a British television series, an action thriller created by Gerry Anderson. It was Anderson's second TV series using live actors as opposed to electronic marionettes, and also his second to be firmly set in contemporary times. It was also the only Gerry Anderson produced television series that was not of the fantasy or science fiction genres. It was produced by Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment production company. Despite not featuring marionettes or any real science fiction elements, The Protectors became one of Anderson's most popular productions, easily winning a renewal for a second season. A third season was in the planning stages when the show's major sponsor pulled out, forcing its cancellation. The Protectors first aired in 1972 and 1973, and ran to 52 episodes over two series, each 25 minutes long - making it one of the last series of this type to be produced in a half-hour format. It starred Robert Vaughn as Harry Rule, Nyree Dawn Porter as the Contessa Caroline di Contini, and Tony Anholt as Paul Buchet. Episodes often featured prominent guest actors.

The Troubleshooters is a British television series made by the BBC between 1965 and 1972, created by John Elliot. During its run, the series made the transition from black and white to colour transmissions. The series was based around an international oil company – the "Mogul" of the title. The Man in Room 17 is a British television series which ran for two seasons in the mid-1960s, produced by the Northern ITV franchise, Granada Television. Key to the series' success was the involvement of writer/producer Robin Chapman. The show was set in Room 17 of the Department of Social Research, where former wartime agent-turned-criminologist Edwin Oldenshaw solved difficult police cases through theory and discussions with his assistants. The novelty of the series was that Oldenshaw and his colleagues never needed to leave their office in order to resolve cases, preferring to spend their time playing the Japanese board game of Go. They simply provided their prognosis and left the police to do the cleaning up. Different directors were often appointed to film the Room 17 and outside-world scenes independently, to maintain a sense of distance between the two worlds.
