Comedy Lab is a British television series which showcases pilots of experimental comedy shows. Series have been aired irregularly on Channel 4 and E4 since 1998. Several pilots first shown on Comedy Lab have gone on to spawn full series, most notably Trigger Happy TV, Fonejacker, That Peter Kay Thing, Meet the Magoons and FM. It also gave Jimmy Carr his first television appearance in Jimmy Carr's World of…Corporate Videos. The 2001 series features the episodes Knife and Wife, Orcadia, Daydream Believers: Brand New Beamer and Jimmy Carr's World of…Corporate Videos featuring Jimmy Carr. The 2008 series features the episodes Headwreckers, Mr and Mrs Fandango, Olivia Lee's Naughty Bits, Karl Pilkington: Satisfied Fool, Pappy's Fun Club, School of Comedy and Slaterwood. 2010's shows are iCandy, Happy Finish, Penelope Princess of Pets, Jack Whitehall Secret Census, Filth, Moviemash and Hung Out. The 2011 lineup includes: Anna & Katy, Totally Tom and Rick and Peter.

Comedy Blaps is Channel 4's vehicle for piloting comedy online. Some pilots consist of a single short, whereas others consist of a few shorts.

Comedy sketch show set in the fictional Scottish town of Burnistoun near Glasgow. The show follows the exploits of characters such as an aspiring girl band and a serial killer who is unhappy at his portrayal in the local media.

Live Floor Show was a television comedy show produced by BBC Scotland for three series from 2002–2003. The first two series, hosted by Greg Hemphill, were broadcast on BBC One Scotland. The third series, hosted by Dara Ó Briain, was shown on BBC Two. The programme featured a number of regular acts on one of the three stages at the Queen Margaret Drive studios in Glasgow: Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Craig Hill, Paul Sneddon, Miles Jupp, and Jim Muir. The show also featured many other well-known guest acts: Bill Bailey, Doug Stanhope, Mackenzie Crook, Des McLean, Craig Charles, Dan Antopolski, Jo Brand, and Matt Blaize. At the end of each show there was a musical act. One notable appearance was by Robert Plant, on the same night as Bill Bailey.

Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights is a comedy sketch show created by Frankie Boyle, starring Boyle himself alongside Jim Muir, Tom Stade, Robert Florence and Thaila Zucchi.

The Incredible Will & Greg is a concentrated burst of comedy starring comedy duo Will Andrews and Greg McHugh. The purposeful Pointy Man shows how to attract the object of your desires using only the power of the point, whilst the heroic Dr Frank cures a woman who hasn't spoken for three years whilst staging a three act play about a hippie with a lisp. The loveable Tony Carter has the driving lesson from hell and the infamous Spanish Man With A Cup gets involved in a hostage negotiation. The Incredible Will & Greg also sees the return of Gary Tank Commander.
