Annesinin ölen babası hakkında anlattığı kahramanlık hikayeleriyle büyüyen küçük Yahudi oğlan Andor'un dünyası, gerçek babası olduğunu iddia eden kaba saba bir adamın birdenbire eve gelişiyle altüst oluyor. Yönetmenin kendi aile geçmişinden esinlenerek geliştirdiği ve 35mm filme çekilerek olağanüstü bir atmosfer yaratan Yetim, eylül ayında Venedik'te ana yarışmada dünya prömiyerini yaptı ve Macaristan’ın Oscar adayı oldu.

  November 1664. The autumnal peace of the Kursanec forest is suddenly shattered by the noise of a hunting party. The leader of the hunters is Miklós Zrínyi, one of the most powerful men in the country. Neither he nor the members of the merry party can imagine how the day will end. The film presents a tragic event in Hungarian history, which is still not fully understood and which will later affect the fate of the whole country. Hunting accident or assassination? There are many theories and explanations, rumours and anecdotes about the events of this autumn day. Is it plausible that the life of a renowned general, an excellent hunter and a respected poet should come to such a fatal end? Who was he whose terrible fate was facilitated even by such potentates as Louis XIV, the Sun King?

  The story of an encounter that was legendary at the dawn of the Reformation. Calvin's weeks-long dispute with an "unknown Roman Catholic priest" turned the fate of Switzerland in history. The unknown priest was Ignatius of Loyola, later founder of the Jesuit order within the Church, and who was indeed on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the area. Both wanted to reform the religion of the time. Calvin from without, creating a new church, and Ignatius of Loyola from within. Both agreed that the Church of Rome at the time was utterly depraved, with popes and bishops unashamedly enriching themselves and lusting, selling penitential cults, never having relics of saints, and all of these things had reduced the Roman Church to an unprecedented low. The two protagonists rise up against this, each with his own means.
