Slovakian villagers towards the end of WW II are despairing as German troops fall back to their village.

In Slovakia, they often and gladly honored those soldiers who refused to serve the fascist regime and stood against it. Lieutenant Kukorelli also rejected the tempting career of a pilot, instead helping the resistance fighters and later participating in the Slovak National Uprising.

On Christmas Eve, 1944, in Nazi-occupied Slovakia, the Kubiš family grapples with survival amidst brutal reprisals. Marián collaborates as a fascist guard leader, while his sister Angela has an affair with their Nazi lodger, Major Brecker. The situation escalates when their younger son, Juraj, a former partisan fighter, returns home wounded. As Germans search homes for escapees, Juraj hides in the attic, while an unsettling Christmas dinner unfolds below with Major Brecker present.

An unusual children's film set during World War II in Czechoslovakia, this compelling drama unfolds five different segments that present the war through the eyes of three youngsters. The three have a series of adventures which include saving a soldier from being captured by the Germans, helping out the resistance fighters, and meeting up with a young Russian woman trained in guerrilla warfare. As they learn more about life and danger, various circumstances constantly recall the reality of war itself. The title comes from a wounded pigeon under the care of one of the youngsters.

The dramatic story captures the hard and dangerous life of the partisan group "Čapajev" led by Ľudovít Kukorelli during World War II. It retrospectively presents the course of the Slovak National Uprising in eastern Slovakia.

A fashion show is held on board a Danube steamer, where the star is the model Anna Vlčková, nicknamed "the beautiful harlot" because of her acquaintances with wealthy foreigners. Coincidentally, the young police captain Strelková and her older colleague Lieutenant Michalek are also among the spectators. Neither of them has any idea that Vlčková has a crush on the sick Swiss industrialist Langer. However, someone threatens her with death because of her intended marriage to him. Langer dies in the hospital before he can marry the beautiful harlot. However, someone still murders Vlčková with a shot from a hunting rifle. For Captain Strelková, this is the first major case of her career, and it is all the more difficult because the investigator has to make her mark in a world that has been the domain of men until now...

Vlado has just passed his high school diploma and is starting a job as a home tutor in the family of a big businessman. He finds himself in a very difficult turning point in 1947-48. He does not understand much of what is happening around him. He constantly experiences emotional confusion, comes into conflict with his conscience and finally has to decide between love and reason...

A story about the love of two young people who were not divided by borders or the cruelty of time.

The myth of the anti-fascist resistance in Slovakia was one of the important themes of normalization cinema, of course, treated with an emphasis on the leading role of the communists. This primitively illustrative film depicts the heroic enthusiasm shown by the members of the resistance group, heroically and with constant commitment of life fighting against the treacherous police of the Slovak state and ultimately against the German Gestapo.

The security forces, loyal to the people, uncover the conspiracy. At the center of the intrigue is an average actor who suddenly becomes dizzy from unexpected praise. It takes the young man a long time to wake up from his dreams, to understand how he has been abused.
