Kötü uzaylı Zanon, insanlığı köleleştirmek için Dünya'ya geldiğinde tüm umutlar tükenmiş gibi görünür. Dünyanın süper kahramanları olan Spacewomen bile güçsüzdür. Küçük bir çocuğun yardımıyla Gamera ile iletişim kurarlar. Dünyanın koruyucusu ve tüm çocukların dostu Gamera, Zanon'a karşı savaşa girişir. Ancak giderek daha çok eski düşman, Zanon'un tarafında Gamera'ya karşı savaşmak için ortaya çıkar: Gaos, Zigra, Viras, Jigger, Guiron ve hatta Barugon. Gamera, Zanon'u ve eski düşmanlarını yenerek Dünya'nın yok oluşunu engelleyebilecek mi?

Two young boys sneak aboard a spaceship and find themselves whisked away to the mysterious planet Terra. There, they encounter Gamera's old foe Gyaos and two female aliens with a taste for human brains. Gamera must save the children and battle the new monster Guiron, whose entire body is a deadly living weapon.

When a giant stone statue on Wester Island is disturbed, the legendary monster Jiger appears and heads for Japan. Gamera tries to stop this new rival, only to be injured when Jiger lays eggs inside of him. As two boys in a submarine go on a dangerous quest inside of Gamera's body to save him, Jiger threatens the Expo '70 world's fair in Osaka.

The film consists of re-edited material from the original television series Ultraman. Episodes 1, 8, 26, and 27 were used for the film. They were narrated by Hikari Urano as an "Ultraman Documentary". Allegedly only one new scene was shot, and that some parts of the movie where shot in black and white for unknown reasons. The movie screened at the same time as the Toho movie King Kong Escapes.

Hayata is a member of the Science Patrol, an organization tasked with investigating bizarre anomalies. He is mortally wounded when accidently encountering an alien being from Land of Light, who grants Hayata new life as the two are merged into one. Now, whenever a threat arises that is too great for the Science Patrol to handle, Hayata activates the beta capsule and becomes the hero known as Ultraman.
