After returning home from the army, Vasek (Ladislav Potmesil) has married Bozka (Eva Trejtnarová) and the couple now live at her parents' house. Vasek is unhappy both with his work and with sharing the house with Bozka's parents. He and his friend Ruda (Oldrich Vlach) decide to take a temporary job in Ostrava for a year. Bozka is against this, but Vasek gets his way. Mining is hard work but Vasek gradually adapts to it. He gets homesick from time to time and wants to go back, but his pride always wins out. Once he really does travel back to see Bozka, but he doesn't find her at home.

Oldřich Daňek's play tells a love story from our ancient times about the beautiful convent inmate Jitka and the brave Břetislav, the son of the Bohemian prince Oldřich and the simple laundress Božena. This witty apocryphal uses semi-historical, semi-legendary material in a modern way.

Despite this, she remains faithful to her good-natured husband, many years older. However, he mainly desires peace, and, carried away by gossip, one day leaves his wife. He returns as a principal with a puppet theater to find that his wife has remained faithful to him, both spouses are convinced that they were wrong and return to each other...

A railway fairy tale about how the devil fell in love with Bětuška and the machines... The young devil Fadrius is supposed to pass the diploma exam at the hellish university by gaining a soul on the ground of hell according to the questionnaire he received. So he sets off for his destination - the village of Dražice in Bohemia. He tries to get the soul of the old woman Kolejačka and the track master Doubek. But he falls in love with his daughter Bětuška. But Doubek does not want to give her to him...

Life in a rural retirement home is peaceful, with long-standing friendships and rivalries. One day, the residents find a bedraggled, exhausted person lying at the door. The next day, however, the poor woman transforms into a charming lady who becomes the object of attention, especially among the male population. Her charm triggers a strange emotional epidemic in the home – people awaken from their slumber, becoming interested in the world around them, both near and far, and feeling a greater need for tolerance. This lyrical television play by director P. Háši and playwright F. Pavlíček, starring K. Fialová, tells of the remarkable influence of love on human life, even if it is already fulfilled and balanced. On life in the time of rowan berries.
