The true story of four men who narrowly escaped death at the hands of Argentina's military death squads in 1977. Claudio Tamburrini is a goalie for a minor-league football team when he is abducted by members of the Argentine military police and taken to an unofficial detention center on the false suspicion that he is a terrorist. As he is tortured by intelligence agents looking for information he doesn't have, Tamburrini fully expects to be killed. After many sessions of brutal torture, Tamburrini and his fellow captives Guillermo and Tano are being readied for execution when, in a final desperate act, Tamburrini dives out a window during a rainstorm.

A war veteran, haunted by the horrors of war and the experiences he shared with fellow soldiers drafted to the battlefront as an 18-year-old conscript, is forced to confront the memories of his past after a former comrade attempts suicide. 20 years after the war, he finally attempts to reconnect with his past to begin to heal his old wounds.

Buenos Aires, 1880. A journalist interviews Manuel Esteban Corvalán, one of the last living men who crossed the Andes in 1817 with José de San Martín, during the Argentinian and Chilean wars of independence, as one of his secretaries, when he was only 15 years old.

In 1810, Manuel Belgrano believes that it is possible to replace the royal authority - that of Fernando VII prisoner of the Napoleonic troops - with the community of virtuous men who, identified with the Homeland, fluently interpret the People.

El Chino Fernando and el Puma, two old friends who have not seen each other for some time, go out with their ex-girlfriends for a sailing trip. As a reminder of their "ex" status, differences soon surface and they decide to end the ride early. However, on the way back they are surprised by a storm that throws them off course, leaving them adrift in the middle of the widest river in the world.

Argentina, 1880. A group of exhausted soldiers sails down the Pilcomayo River. A man at the head of the group hesitates. It's Colonel Luis Jorge Fontana. The lives of many men depend on his decision, and he knows it very well. The territory of a country isn't something that falls from the sky: the borders drawn on maps are the product, at some point in history, of the will and determination of a few men; and Fontana was one of those men.
