Fred Çakmaktaş, karısı Vilma, çocukları Çakıl ve vefakâr ev hayvanları Dino, komşuları Barney Moloztaş, karısı Betty ve evlat edindikleri çocukları Bam Bam, Taş Devri'nin karakterleridir. Taşyatağı'nda (Bedrock) yaşarlar. Hikayesi; Fred ve Barney çok yakın arkadaştır ve aynı taş ocağında çalışırlar. En sevdikleri spor bowlingtir, sürekli oynarlar.Patronları bay Slate(İlk sezonda Bay Arduaz) sinir bir adamdır. Onunla ara sıra kavga ederler, başları belaya girer, kovulma noktasına gelirler ama konu hep tatlıya bağlanır. Bir de üye oldukları bufalo derneği vardır. Bazen bu derneğin partileri yapılır. Fred ve Barney bazen kavga ederler, uzun süre konuşmazlar hatta karıları Wilma ve Betty'nin de birbirleriyle görüşmelerini engellemeye çalışırlar ama en sonunda karıları onları barıştırır. Wilma ve Betty yakın arkadaştır, kocalarının onları ihmal etmeleri durumunda ittifaka geçer ve istediklerini yaptırırlar. Taş devrinin filmleri de yapılmıştır.

Melodifestivalen (direct translation: The Melody Festival) is an annual music competition organised by Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition is a six part tour (5 heats + the final) with stops in cities across Sweden to determine the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen is also known informally as "Mello", or internationally as "Melfest".

Allsång på Skansen is a Swedish tv show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays. The audience is supposed to sing-along with musical guests to well-known Swedish songs. The show started in 1935 on a small scale - about fifty people in the audience. Today about 10 000–25 500 people come to each performance.
