A biographical study of seminal punk blues singer Jeffrey Lee Pierce and his band the Gun Club.

From their roots as a brutal, confrontational industrial band, through breakups and chaos, to their odds-defying current status as one of the most accomplished and ambitious bands in the world, one whose concerts are more like ecstatic rituals than nostalgic trips. SWANS has always been a collection of singular performers, but there's been one constant since its formation in 1982--singer, songwriter Michael Gira. 'Where Does a Body End?' is a SWANS documentary with unfettered access to hundreds of hours of Gira/SWANS archives of never-seen-before recordings, videos, and photographs. An unfiltered story of a life in the arts, frequent difficulty spanning decades without a safety net, creating work because Gira says "What else am I going to do?"

A young hipster wannabe-superstar dj, Phil, takes on a day job at a telemarketing company, working with crazy people, ex-prisoners, drug addicts and murderers. The time on his life begins to tick as he battles addiction, fights the law and tries to maintain the only sane thing left in his life, his girlfriend, Christine.

Documentary of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' 1989 tour of America.

This film follows the life of a mentally ill street itinerant whose name is not worthy of mention. When not sleeping in the gutters of Manhattan's Lower East Side, our protagonist keeps busy juggling her schedule of drug abuse, trips to her shrink, and stealing from those misguided souls who, after taking pity on her, allow her temporary shelter in their homes.

Live footage with three bands: Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Crime And The City Solution, Swans. Recorded at Knopf's Music Hall, Hamburg, August 15th, 1987.

Made with Washington DC's notorious gospel-punk outfit The Make-Up. The musicians seek "creative asylum" in a subcultural womb. This road movie is, in the words of a Parisian critic, "comme si Foucault roulait avec les situationistes dans le Scooby-Doo Van". It is both a lyrical document of a time and space(s) which no longer exist as well as a record of one of the most kick-ass bands on earth.
