Genç ve yetenekli bir Alman fırıncı olan Thomas, İsrailli ve evli bir adam olan Oren ile yasak bir aşk yaşar. Bir gün Oren trafik kazasında vefat eder. Bunun üzerine Thomas, kafasındaki bazı soru işaretlerini cevaplayabilmek için Kudüs’e gitmeye karar verir. Sırrını kendine saklayarak, Oren’in artık dul kalmış genç eşi Anat’nın yanında çalışmaya başlar. Anat küçük bir kafe işletmektedir. Thomas başta dininden dolayı dışlanıp ötekileştirilse de yaptığı pastalar o kadar lezzetlidir ki herkesin dikkatini çeker. Anat’nın hayatına beklediğinden çok daha fazla miktarda dahil olan Thomas’ın sırrını saklamak uğruna söylediği yalanlar, onu bambaşka bir noktaya sürükleyecektir.

Follows the experiences of a group of "at risk" Jerusalem teenagers, who as part of the Martef drama therapy program are asked to interview the last surviving witnesses of the 1961 Eichmann trial, and create a play based on their stories.The young actors and the aging survivors at first have little in common and show no desire to communicate, but slowly there develops between them a bond of empathy and understanding.
