Set against the historic 1916 miners' strike on the Greek island of Serifos, the series blends fiction with real events from a landmark moment in the labor movement. Perseas, the son of a miner killed in the island's dangerous tunnels, grows up under the guidance of his strong and unconventional mother, Katerineta, who teaches him to face life with courage and dignity. Forced by circumstance to follow his father's path, Perseas begins working in the harsh and perilous mines from dawn until dusk, struggling to survive in the island's unforgiving landscape. Amid exhausting labor and growing tensions between workers and mine owners, Perseas falls in love with Andromeda, the daughter of a man who stands against him and the miners' cause. Their relationship unfolds alongside the rising unrest of the workers, whose fight for fair treatment and humane working conditions becomes a defining moment in their lives and in the broader history of social struggle.

The second part of a trilogy which focuses on a young Greek woman in three stages of her life as she recalls leaving her homeland of Constantinople. The trilogy is based on the infamous “Septemvriana” events of 1955 — the worst anti-Greek riots in history.

Fani, who grew up facing many difficulties on an island in the Ionian Sea, undertakes a dangerous mission: to deliver a package containing highly confidential documents to the home of lawyer Pagoulatos. However, the mission has been compromised, and Fanis is forced to hide the documents because his life is in danger. Shortly afterwards, a girl named Anthi arrives on the island, who is somehow involved in the story of the secret documents. When she meets Fanis, she feels an irresistible attraction to him. They both discover that they are in love. Fanis, at Anthi's urging, comes to Athens... His relationship with Anthi goes through many ups and downs... At some point, he realizes that his life is in danger with every step he takes. The reason is the documents he continues to keep hidden... His love for Anthi slowly turns into a nightmare.
