Vlado has just passed his high school diploma and is starting a job as a home tutor in the family of a big businessman. He finds himself in a very difficult turning point in 1947-48. He does not understand much of what is happening around him. He constantly experiences emotional confusion, comes into conflict with his conscience and finally has to decide between love and reason...

Young Dasha lives in a small town. Her father is a prominent man, the owner of a restaurant. However, when her father's connections are not enough to get Dasha accepted to college, she has to spend the summer working part-time in her father's business. Love, friends, even running away from home, all belong to this period of Dasha's life. The failed wedding arranged by her parents, the patronizing imposition of university studies at a price that the girl fears - all this brings on the one hand a deep disappointment in her own parents, but over time also the recognition of her own mistakes.

Biographical film about the work of the young Klement Gottwald. The story depicts his stay in Banská Bystrica, where he edited the Slovak communist press and helped organise the communist revolutionary movement.

Although the title would suggest it, this film has nothing to do with fairy tales at all: it takes place in the North Moravian border region just after the end of the Second War. It presents a fragmented mosaic of the fates of many people, returnees and immigrants, who tried to start a new life and believed in a happier tomorrow. Although the director Antonín Kachlík tried to give the story a certain credibility, he submits to the ideological demands of the 1980s. North Moravian borderlands in the first post-war year: a disparate and fragmented sequence of episodes depicts the individual fates of returnees and new immigrants. Another title that perhaps did not even need to be created.

A contemporary story from the lives of young people, students of a ski high school, who, in addition to their studies, are preparing for a career as active sports competitors.

Dorotka is a poor orphan who works as a shepherdess for rich farmers. Their mischievous son often torments her. One day, he chases a goose away from her pasture. While searching for it, Dorotka meets an old woman who not only punishes the mischievous man, but also gives her 3 gifts: a magic wand, a jug of spring water, and a ring made of grass. Dorotka can only give these gifts to the person she loves the most. And she gradually gives them to the good young king, who has helped her and others, but somehow cannot help himself - he cannot find a bride himself. With the help of the old woman and the miraculous gifts, she finally becomes the one who deserves it most - the shepherdess Dorotka.

A love story of an aging baron and a married woman who are brought together by chance in a small spa town. A teenage son unexpectedly becomes an obstacle in the love adventure. His jealous outbursts gain momentum.

Ivan Hálek, son of the famous poet Vítězslav Hálek, studied medicine and devoted his life to the Slovak countryside. In the poor Kysuce region, he not only treats the local villagers, but also makes an extraordinary contribution to education. At the same time, he struggles with lingering superstitions and mistrust. However, the hero and his young wife also become acquainted with folk customs, songs, and the colorful culture of the poorest. And he proclaims that only those who rid them of terrible mass poverty can provide these poor people with true living water.

The script is based on the ancient legend of Eros, the god of love. He brought happy love when he hit the victim with gold-tipped arrows, or unhappy love if the arrow had a lead tip. Since love is the spice of life, Eros influenced that too. He himself paid the price for his abilities when he met Psyche.

The series depicts the history of Slovak society in the first decades of our century and leaves a deep faith in humanity and the nation. It tells the life story of Pavlínka, the daughter of a laborer and innkeeper, whose fate is filled with love, social ambitions, and unfulfilled dreams, and who ultimately returns to the basics of life, to naturalness and wisdom.
