High school student Sayaka Yamamoto enjoys gag comedy since she was a child. She decides to form a comedy duo with her friend Yui Yokoyama. They have been friends since middle school. They practice their skits diligently. One day, at the comedy club in high school, pretty Miyuki Watanabe, who is a transfer student from Tokyo, joins their club.

The movie features the history of SKE48 from the first auditions up to 2015.

“NMB48 Geinin! (NMB48 げいにん!)” is a weekly television show program that broadcasted by Nippon TV from the third sister group of AKB48 from Namba, Osaka, NMB48 that have drama and comedy element in it. It tells about a comedy group (Owarai Club) in an all-girls school that aimed for the victory in a comedy competition for all-girls school students which is called “JK-1”.

Hakamada Yukio is a competent, mysterious lawyer who only handles settlement cases because of past experiences. Imachi Jun is a newbie novelist whose debut work was a big hit. Her first work was sold so well that it pressures her, making it impossible for her to continue her work. Jun then escapes from Tokyo and ends up at Cable-Hachimangu-Sanjo Station, a station from the Keihan Electric Railway, where she meets former chef, Sousuke, and elementary school student, Kokoro. Jun ends up living at a lodging "Kizunaya" and learns about life while interating with the guests there.
