The second centers on a theatrical production based on Koval’s book — staged by a group of students — which reveals the backstory: how the book’s hero came to yearn to break free from Moscow and retreat far away from everyone — including his friends — deep into the heart of nature.

The beginning of the 2000s. New realities, instant adaptation to the proposed circumstances, enchanting careers, unexpected unknown professions... All this could have happened only at the turn of the century, when the Soviet system instantly went out of fashion, replaced by the lightning invasion of the Western world in a grotesque parody. The main character of the film is an inconspicuous girl Nadezhda Strakhova. Nadezhda, oddly enough, is married. Her husband, Vitalik, a provincial, married a childless Nadezhda for the sake of a Moscow residence permit and a typical "Khrushchev" on the outskirts of Moscow. Nadezhda works two jobs to support her small family: in the mornings in the district library and in the evenings in the theater wardrobe. One day her life changes dramatically.

The tragic and ironic reasoning about the fear of growing-up is shown through the prism of the personal relations of two protagonists. In a restaurant that is appropriate for the occasion a young man proposes to the girl he loves — and is unexpectedly turned down. The protagonists stay together for a few more hours, trying to understand what happened and come to grips with their selves. Gradually they get closer and closer.

Moscow, present day. The city of big money, passion, gorgeous women and wealthy men, receptions and dangerous intrigue. Dasha, an art historian from the province, who came to the capital, dreams of a new, better life, but a mysterious and cruel incident will change everything.

Opposition leader Sasha reposted information critical of domestic medicine. The post was read by his brother - an official from the capital's mayor's office - and asked to immediately demolish everything. To feed a family accustomed to daily rib-eye steaks, Swiss ice cream and sushi, traffic police inspector Kogotkov comes up with a cunning plan to remotely bribe a car enthusiast. And Dimon owes Kostyan a decent amount of money, but he is in no hurry to return it. Kostyan hires Vitya, a scoundrel, to go to Dimon and collect the debt.

Lyceum teacher Rita begins to be harassed by a cyberstalker. The girl realizes that there are too many people around her who have good reasons to turn her life into a nightmare. He hits the most painful points: work, students, friends, family, self-belief. Rita is trying to figure out who this mysterious stalker is and what he wants. Sorting through and picking up the keys to her ex-boyfriend, students and colleagues, friends and even relatives, Rita realizes that she can no longer trust anyone.

Colonel Alexander Volkov teaches at the Academy of the FSB, he is seventy, he is retired. Captain Igor Kamorin is an active operative, he is twenty-seven. The plot centers on a couple of Zhenya and Nikita, whose lives are radically changing due to an ordinary quarrel at the airport. Lovers find themselves on different sides of the world. Zhenya gets on the set in Berlin, meets a brilliant director and becomes a co-author of his film. And Nikita goes to Thailand, where his life is also turned upside down. But one thing remains unchanged for the guy: the desire to be close to Zhenya, which can overcome all geographical, physical and even moral boundaries.
