Heinz Strunk, plagued by crater-like skin rashes, lives with his sick mother in Hamburg-Harburg in the 1980s. As a saxophonist, he tours the North German lowlands with the dance combo "Tiffanys". In this bizarre universe of Korn, Klaus & Klaus and Koteletts, bandleader Gurki teaches him how to deliver cheerful, upbeat music. To escape the vicious circle of shooting festivals and village weddings, Heinz wants to start a solo career and become a hit producer...

In the beginning there was fire: Adam and Eve were on fire for each other when he rescued her from a blazing house. Now they have been married for four years, and the burning desire for each other has turned into a lukewarm togetherness. The dream couple are no longer satisfied with each other: Eve would love to have a child, but in Adam's opinion, cranky brats have always had no place in paradise and the idea of Alete and family happiness in their cozy home makes him want to flee - in short: paradise is in danger.

Morscholz is a place. Morscholz is more than a place. It's a state of mind. Ants, blood, chopped off heads. It's about Dirk. Love, mourning. It's about Diane, Bernd, Fabienne, Michel, Gertrud, Flipper and Grandma Josefine. A family. Can people forget how to happy? Do you have to practice happiness? Like training for sports, regularity being the decisive factor?
