Kirill Vorobyov's life is simple and nothing special: after graduating from school and serving in the army, he works at a factory as a mechanic. But one day he meets Alena, a student at one of the Moscow universities. And for the first time, Kirill begins to feel constrained and uncomfortable in the company of intelligent girl he likes.

1944 Sergeant Vasily Kalina returns to his native village of Pastoron after the hospital. But he does not find the village: retreating, the Germans burned all the houses and mined the fields. The restoration of the economy is led by the former commander of the partisan detachment Grigory Gorovoy. He appoints Vasily as the chairman of the collective farm. Soon Kalina learns that Claudia, whom he loved before the war, considering him dead, married Gorovoy. The current situation is not an easy test for all three...

Two car mechanics friends decide to holiday on the Black Sea coast. The news of the arrival of the "famous masters" excited the residents of the southern town, followed by adventures, misunderstandings and the abduction of one of them.

The group of paratroopers is thrown in the back of Germans on the territory of Lithuania. They are faced by a task: to take and keep the bridge before arrival of active armed forces.

Appointed to the position of the foundry's head, Sergei Ilyin puts forward a plan for reorganizing the work to the plant management. These proposals have both their supporters and opponents.

Friends serve in the same military unit - commanders of tank battalions, majors Oleg Sedov, Vladimir Likhachev, Ivan Zverko. During a training exercise, Sedov makes a risky decision to break through the swamp. His battalion manages to be the first to occupy the height, but Likhachev’s battalion is only ten minutes behind the first battalion, but at the same time Likhachev, as always, remains cautious and does not agree to the risky proposal to go through the swamp. Sedov pays severely for his recklessness. One of his battalion's tanks overturns and falls into the swamp...

The plot of the film, which tends more towards a psychological drama than a sports and adventure film, is based on a mountain climbing trip, where the essence of everyone will soon manifest itself.

It consists of three short stories united by the theme of war: "Where Are You, Lyubov Dunyashova?", "You Have Me", "Everyday Matters".
