Barbara Yung

The Legend of the Condor Heroes is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Louis Cha's novel of the same title. It was first broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in 1983. The 59 episodes long series is divided into three parts. This 1983 version is considered by many to be a classic television adaptation of the novel and features the breakthrough role of Barbara Yung, who played Huang Rong.

The New Adventures of Chor Lau-heung is a Hong Kong television series adapted from Chu Liuxiang Xinzhuan of Gu Long's Chu Liuxiang novel series. Michael Miu starred as the titular protagonist, Chor Lau-heung. The series was first broadcast on TVB from 12 November 1984 to 4 January 1985. It was rerun in Hong Kong on TVB Jade from February 1 to March 30 in 2006.

The Foundation is a TVB television series, premiered in 1984. Master Cheung gets injured after fighting with the cult leader Suen Ci. He runs away and meets his future apprentice Szeto Man Mo, as well as the government official’s daughter Lam Chor Yin. Mo is engaged to Yin but he is not devoted to her at all. Even though Yin loves him wholeheartedly, Mo deserts her on their wedding day. Soon after, Mo falls for an actress Fa Ying Fung, knowing nothing of her veil of deceit. After being hurt seriously by Fung, Mo realizes that Yin is his true love and he returns to her eventually. Unfortunately, Yin’s spirit is captured by Ci on their wedding night. In order to rescue his wife, Mo starts practicing black magic but this leads to disastrous outcomes.

This is a star-studded comedy film, with the funny point being that Chan Ji is muddled into the feud between two major gangs. In addition, Barbara Yung made a guest appearance in "Crazy 83", in which she played the role of a detective.
