A young Aji Mathew is a communist who goes the whole nine yards for the ideologies he believes in. When the girl he loves leaves to the US out of the blue and her parents fix her wedding, Aji is left with just a fortnight to reach the country albeit with no passport or visa. How far he is willing to go for love forms the plot.

This coming-of-age drama follows Saba, the happy-go-lucky protagonist, through the years leading up to his adulthood and highlighting events of friendship and romance along the way.

Stranded on her way home, Sruthi hitches a long ride with KK who turns out to be her dad's buddy. Sruthi's mother seems to be reassured hearing that KK is with her daughter now. However her husband is troubled on hearing the news. Flashbacks reveal that KK is not as innocent as he seems.

Set in the 1980s matriarchal society of a fictional city of Pernuru, South India, women reign supreme and power has a new name - Akka! Akka is the tale of gangster queens whose matriarchal rule is challenged when an outsider brings an unseen threat, spiralling the all-powerful sisterhood into a chaos storm of violence and survival.
