Gerçek yaşamdakinden farklı olarak, toplumsal ayrılıklar “Tatort”ta her zaman çözülmese de, cinayetin faili her zaman bulunuyor ve pazar akşamı herkes yatağına huzur içinde gidiyor. Edebiyatbilimci Jochen Vogel’in sözleriyle “Tatort, Alman toplumunu anlatan bir roman.”
