A mysterious disappearance takes place during the shooting of a commercial on the beach in the early morning hours. An unknown man suddenly comes into the shot, then walks into the sea holding an umbrella and seizes to exist, before the bewildered eyes of the whole crew. After the police are notified, a confusing array of red tape manoeuvers begins, revealing the close affiliations of the Authorities with the advertising company manager and the whole mechanism of Mass Media, all of which are trying not to investigate the event but to conceal or even exploit it in their own interest. Only the musician involved in that commercial is trying to figure out what really happened.

August 1944, and a captain in the Greek army in the Middle East, Jason, secretly disembarks on an island with the mission of gathering information on the state of the German defensive positions, in view of the imminent landing of the Allied Forces. To complete his mission, he makes contact with some rebels, but the Germans are aware of his presence and arrest twelve men to force him to surrender. Shortly before the deadline expires, a local man who had been declared a deserter shortly before the war began and had been in hiding, presents himself at his post and is executed, making his wife and son proud.

Viky is shocked. She turns in von Zirach to the police and leaves. After some years, she returns to him with their son Freiderikos, when von Zirach has donated his fortune to the orphans of Biafra.

After leaving Nafplio, the first capital of the newly founded Greek Nation, the affluent French Duchess of Plaisance and ardent philhellene, Sophie de Marbois-Lebrun, moves to Athens with her young daughter, Eliza, circa 1834.

A Greek journalist, Thomas Giannidis, learns that there will be an assassination attempt against Archbishop Makarios on July 15, 1974. After making several unsuccessful attempts to publish the information in the newspaper where he works, he decides to go to Cyprus. There he meets a Cypriot girl, Mary, whose brother serves in Makarios' presidential guard, and they put him in touch with Makarios himself. Makarios assures him that there have been many attempts in the past and is not impressed by his information. After an attempt to kill the journalist, the presidential guard decides to find evidence in the illegal organization's hideout. Then the coup takes place on the 15th and the Turkish invasion on July 20, 1974.

Georgia Vasiliadou claims to be a simple housewife. And an inveterate matchmaker! A few years later, when Anna returns, she learns of the death of her daughter's adoptive parents and takes her in. She also meets Stefanos, who has since overcome his financial difficulties, and together they realize that the main reason for their separation was their social environment, as well as a temporary and human, but nevertheless fatal, weakness.
