Film8.0FantastikThis low-rent, hardcore version of a kinky Kenneth Anger film contains three sexual vignettes. The first, "Fright," is set in the pre-gentrified Hudson River docks area of Greenwich Village. The film begins with a cop arresting a young man for hustling. He takes him to an abandoned building where he, and his cop buddy, tie up the stud and proceed to have some really rough sex. The next story, "Nightmare," has a straight man falling off to sleep only to have "nightmares" of torrid gay sex. The final scenario, "Birthday," has a man receiving a human birthday present.

Film9.0KomediAmerican Cream is a witty and sexy three-part film exploring the themes of role-playing, masking and the masculinity myth. The Office: the executive and underling play out the consequences of America’s sexual politics; the country that promotes a militarist masculinity while suppressing actual homosexuality. Country Lads: a tongue in cheek satire of gay wish-fulfillment; sheriff, lumberjack and itinerant hippies romp around nude in the snow. Roles: a rich and tuxedoed gent picks up a midnight cowboy; they have sex and then exchange costumes, showing that the Snob and the Prostitute are two essentially similar methods of self-delusion.

Film8.5In the late 1960s and early 1970s British-born New Yorker and unsung hero of gay underground filmmaking Peter de Rome produced a number of explicit, painstakingly crafted Super 8 films each of which took the viewer on an immersive sexual journey. In 1973, eight of these films were brought together as The Erotic Films of Peter de Rome producing one of the finest cinematic examples of the intersection of artistry and eroticism, in the tradition of Andy Warhol and Kenneth Anger.
