Martin Horňák

Biographical film about the work of the young Klement Gottwald. The story depicts his stay in Banská Bystrica, where he edited the Slovak communist press and helped organise the communist revolutionary movement.

The meeting of the most bloodthirsty emperor Nero and the Stoic philosopher Seneca during one hot night in the Roman arena. The long conversation, which is really just a deliberate delay of Seneca's execution, results in a tense polemic about man's relationship to God, to power, and to the other man.

The life of the Ťapák family is joyless. Twelve of them live in one room, no one considers that it is possible to live differently. The tension is only brought here by Ilina's efforts for change, to which the family members no longer even react. The smartest of the family is Anča. However, she does not want to become Ilina's companion. Both legs have been crippled since childhood, so she only watches her sister-in-law's activities with envy.

A dramatic tale of a man's life marked by two world wars. The story is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the life of the Dobrik couple after the outbreak of World War I, the second part develops the life events of their son Peter, who fought in the Red Army during World War II.

This five-part TV film tells the story of Jan Daňo, a shepherd, and his two daughters.
