2016 marks the 500th anniversary of the death of Hieronymus Bosch. It is almost the only information about the artist of The Garden of Earthly Delights that we can put a precise date to. Bosch, the garden of dreams is a film about his most important painting and one of the most iconic paintings in the world: The Garden of Earthly Delights.

Known for his spectacular pyrotechnic displays, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang creates his most ambitious project yet: Sky Ladder, a visionary, explosive event that he pulls off in his hometown in China after 20 years of failed attempts.

Fifty years ago, our country grappled with discrimination that profoundly impacted minority communities. In Los Angeles, neighborhood leaders united to challenge these barriers by establishing a community-focused bank, aiming to deliver the American dream to those marginalized. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a journey that has closely mirrored the experiences of the Asian American and Pacific Islanders community. To commemorate this shared journey, the East West Bank Foundation commissioned director Evan Leong (Linsanity, Snakehead, and Level Up with Stephen Curry) to create The Bridge. This feature-length documentary explores the struggles, perseverance, and successes that have empowered us all to reach further.

Documentary made for the exhibition that the Chinese artist Cai Guo-Quiang made in the Prado Museum. The film reveals all the secrets of the work of Cai Guo-Qiang, one of the great international contemporary artists, famous for his original explosion technique in his drawings thanks to the properties of gunpowder.

On a remote patch of the Mojave Desert, amidst dusty tumbleweeds and rangy Joshua Trees, sits an anomaly: a high school where educators believe empathy, life skills, and the constancy of a caring adult are the differences that will give at-risk students command of their fates. On any given day, principal Vonda Viland calls kids at the crack of dawn to see if they’ll make it to school. And if they need a ride? Well, she’ll pick them up. Vonda knows each student’s challenges and coaches them tirelessly, never fostering false hopes. Her philosophy combines loving compassion with realism, and given her school’s rising graduation rate, it seems to be working.
