1941. İkinci Dünya Savaşı'nın birçok cephede alev almasına rağmen Hitler'in savaş makinesi durdurulamaz görünür. Sivil ticaret gemilerinden oluşan uluslararası bir konvoy, İzlanda'dan Sovyetler Birliği'nin en kuzeybatısındaki liman kenti Murmansk'a doğru yola çıkar.
