The three siblings Eva, Lieke and Maarten are going through a rough patch. Eva has cancer, but she doesn't want the rest of the family to know. She only confides in young Luke, a cancer patient in the same hospital. Her brother Maarten also has a secret: although he is married to Sanne, he has fallen in love with his friend Hugo and doesn't quite know how to deal with it. In Lieke's case, it is her father Ferry who is causing stress. Because he is not at all happy about his daughter's choice of partner.

Hip hip hurray, it is Miss Roos' birthday! Of course she organizes a nice birthday party and everyone is invited. Gijs accidentally knocks the red rose off the teacher's dress, causing it to lose its magic. A big problem, because with the special dress, they could travel anywhere, and now that's no longer possible. Luckily, Ms. Roos and Gijs find a solution in Grandma Rosalinde's chest. If they collect all the colors of the rainbow, they can recreate the dress. It turns out to be quite a quest to find the right colors, but a very fun one!
