Agnes is six years old and very fond of her older brother. When he brings his girlfriend home, she becomes jealous and does her best to reclaim his attention. A delicate story about a small-scale, everyday drama, told through the perspective of a little girl.

As the successful actor Ingrid arrives at her daughter's 35th birthday party, her unexpected return is not as well received as she has hoped. Instead, her years as an absent mother come to the fore and the gap between mother and daughter are felt to be an abyss.

Hanna, 32, is on her way home one late evening when she runs in to an acquaintance, Andreas, 20, who invites her to a party close by. The party consists of five twenty year old boys. At first, Hanna feels uncomfortable, but she’s adjusting. Soon she feels like she’s one of them.

Anna, a young and naive woman, moves to Knutby to become part of the free church congregation as a nanny, which to her seems like a warm and pious community. But soon the idyll that never existed crackles, and manipulation, power games, social exclusion, group pressure, brainwashing, fanaticism and both more and less religiously sanctioned left-wing chatter end in murder and grief.
