Awa abandons her studies in Saint-Louis when her mother, a domestic worker in Dakar, is accused of theft by the Diop family and thrown in prison. Convinced of her mother's innocence despite her silence, Awa infiltrates the Diop household to uncover the truth in a home riddled with secrets.

Codou, Fary, and Baye Zale reflect each day on the journey they have traveled. Behind their lives lies the silent struggle of a mother: Kéwé, widowed far too soon. Illiterate, Kéwé single-handedly bore the burden of the household, taking on numerous odd jobs and sacrificing her dreams to protect and raise her three children. Through her memories, Fary sees and experiences the reflection of this exceptional mother who transformed her tears into courage and her hardships into hope.

This sweet musical takes us on a cross-country trip through Senegal, from Dakar to Saint Louis in a battered taxi, as passengers sing their stories.
