İtalyan yönetmen Gabriele Salvatores'in pek çok festivalden ödülle dönen, gerilim konusunda Hollywood filmlerine ders verir nitelik taşıyan filmi, Michele'nin terk edilmiş kulübenin altında yaralı bereli bir çocuk bulmasıyla başlayan gizemli olayları anlatır. Güney İtalya'nın müthiş manzaralarını kartpostal gibi görüntülerle veren, yerinde kullanılan müziklerle temiz ve dokunaklı yapısını güçlendiren film, çocukların dünyası ile yetişkinlerin şiddet içeren dünyası arasında gidip gelmeler yaşatır. Özellikle çocuk oyuncuların başarılı performansıyla samimi bir his uyandıran yapıt, yönetmenin korkutma kaygısı gütmeden yarattığı gerilimle seyirciyi sürpriz bir sona hazırlar.
