Ouran Academy is a prestigious school with most students coming from wealthy families. One of the few students who comes from a modest background is Haruhi Fujioka (Haruna Kawaguchi). Awakening is the first of two theatrical compilation movies that preceded the release of "Kamen Rider Amazons: The Last Judgement" feature film. Awakening compiles the events of Season 1, which follows a mysterious Amazon hunter named Jin Takayama, who transforms into Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha; the heavily-sheltered Haruka Mizusawa, who transforms into Kamen Rider Amazon Omega; and the Nozama Pest Control Service, a small group of mercenaries contracted to hunt down the awakening Amazons.

There's also Satomi, who everybody calls "Mama", and she does all of the housework. Kayoko is called Kaka and she works as a snack bar manager. Narumi is called Haha and she is a high school teacher. Finally, there's their father Shoichiro, better known as Chichi. It's an unusual family, but able to exist in harmony. Due to Machiko's appearance, the family becomes shaken.

A car accident occurs in Tanabe, Wakayama Prefecture. Natsumi's (Aimi Satsukawa) classmates Maki (Mitsuki Tanimura), Risa (Yuria Haga) and Mika (Ayu Higashi) die in the car accident. Natsumi becomes isolated at school. Her three friends then come back as ghosts.

Midorikawa Ran, at the age of 24, has made her fortune off of the financial market and has since retired. She spends her days online in chat rooms and gaming, while her younger sister Hikaru, aka Pandora, takes care of the household duties.
