Efsanevi Pembe Panter elması bir kraliyet müzesinden şüpheli bir şekilde çalınır. Baş Müfettiş olan Dreyfus, istemeyerek de olsa Clouseau'yu göreve çağırmak zorundadır. Soygunun akıllara düşen ilk şüphelisi, gününün en ünlü hırsızlarından biri olan Sör Charles Litton'dır. Ancak işin tuhaf yanı, Litton'ın bu hırsızlık meselesiyle hiçbir alakası yoktur. Clouseau, kendi dedektiflik yöntemlerini kullanarak bu meselenin gizemini çözmeye kararlıdır.

Yönetmen Blake Edwards, Fransa'nın en sakar dedektifi için en işe yaramaz yöntemlerle yapılan beceriksizce bir arayışın konu alındığı bu "keyifli" (Boxoffice) komedide bir kahkaha dinamitinin fitilini ateşliyor! Baş rollerini David Niven (son sinema performansı), Robert Wagner, Herbert Lom, Ted Wass'ın paylaştığı ve Roger Moore'un komik bir kısa rolde yer aldığı Pembe Panterin Laneti, "katıksız eğlence" ve "haylazlık" ile dolup taşıyor (Los Angeles Times)! Clouseau hala kayıptır ve Fransız başkan, Clouseau'nun ezeli rakibi olan tehlikeli ve dengesiz Dreyfus'u (Lom) onu bulmakla görevlendirir. Buna hiç niyeti olmayan Dreyfus, Clouseau'nun hiçbir zaman bulunmaması için dahice bir plan yaparak dünyanın en kötü, New York Polis Teşkilatı'nın ise vasat dedektiflerinden Clifton Sleigh'ı (Wass) tutar. Ama çok geçmeden dört dörtlük planı onu aptal durumuna düşürecek gibidir!

Dramarama is the name of a British children's anthology series broadcast on ITV between 1983 and 1989. It tended to feature drama of a science fiction or supernatural bent. The series was created by Anna Home, then head of children's and youth programming at TVS, however production responsibilities were divided amongst most of the regional ITV franchise holders. Thus, each episode was in practice a one-off production with its own cast and crew, up to and including the executive producer. Dramarama was largely a place for new talent to prove themselves and was a launching pad for the likes of Anthony Horowitz, Paul Abbott, Kay Mellor, Janice Hally, Tony Kearney, David Tennant and Ann Marie Di Mambro. It was one of Dennis Spooner's last credits. One of Dramarama's episodes, "Dodger, Bonzo And The Rest", gained so much popularity that it was turned in to its own series the following year. It starred Lee Ross and was based around a large foster home. The episode "Blackbird Singing In The Dead of Night" was developed by Granada into the TV series Children's Ward. It was also repeated for the first time since its original broadcast on 5 January 2013, during CITV's 30th anniversary Old Skool Weekend. The Series 7 episode "Back To Front" – notable for featuring a mirror image of the Yorkshire Television logo card at the end – was repeated on 6 January 2013, again as part of CITV's 30th anniversary Old Skool Weekend.

Hancock's Half Hour is a BBC television comedy series of the 1950s and 60s written by Ray Galton and Alan Simpson. The series starred Tony Hancock with Sid James. The final series, renamed simply Hancock, starred Hancock alone. Comedian Tony Hancock starred in the show, playing an exaggerated and much poorer version of his own character and lifestyle, Anthony Aloysius St John Hancock, a down-at-heel comedian living at the dilapidated 23 Railway Cuttings in East Cheam. The series was influential in the development of the situation comedy, with its move away from radio variety towards a focus on character development.

Out of the Unknown is a British television science fiction anthology drama series, produced by the BBC and broadcast on BBC2 in four series between 1965 and 1971. Each episode was a dramatisation of a science fiction short story; some were created for the series, but most were adaptations of already published stories. The first three years were exclusively science fiction, but that genre was abandoned in the final year in favour of horror and fantasy. A number of episodes were wiped during the early 1970s, as was standard procedure at the time.

Hi-de-Hi! is a British sitcom set in Maplins, a fictional holiday camp, during 1959 and 1960, and was written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, who also wrote Dad's Army and It Ain't Half Hot Mum amongst others. It aired on the BBC from 1980 to 1988. The series revolved around the lives of the camp's management and entertainers, most of them struggling actors or has-beens. The inspiration was the experience of writers Perry and Croft: after being demobilised from the army, Perry was a Redcoat at Butlin's, Pwllheli during the holiday season. The series gained large audiences and won a BAFTA as Best Comedy Series in 1984. In 2004, it came 40th in Britain's Best Sitcom and in a 2008 poll on Channel 4, 'Hi-de-Hi!" was voted the 35th most popular comedy catchphrase.

Moonacre is a 1994 British miniseries loosely based on Elizabeth Goudge's 1946 children's fantasy novel The Little White Horse. Produced and directed by Robin Crichton, and dramatised by William Corlett, the six-part serial stars Camilla Power, Jean Anderson, and Noah Huntley. When Maria Merryweather is orphaned, she must move to Moonacre Manor with her ever-faithful governess, Miss Heliotrope, and her Spaniel, Wiggins. Maria isn't at the Manor long before she discovers that her new home has a tragic past, which she becomes determined to correct.

A Show Called Fred was the successor series to The Idiot Weekly, Price 2d. It was made by Associated-Rediffusion and broadcast only in London area. It was 25 minutes plus adverts. It was predominantly a sketch comedy attempting to translate the audio antics of the The Goon Show into visual antics in bizarre and often surreal comedy sketches which just suddenly ended with a new sketch beginning. Many performers played small parts in the shows like Ernest Clark, Jon Jon Keefe, Patricia Driscoll, etc. Famous people of the day like Hans and Lotte Hass were parodied. Canadian star, Patti Lewis had a singing spot about the middle of the show, and Max Geldray a music spot later on. There were few taboos with sketches showing people in various states of undress, cameramen, behind the scenes workers and the studios. The Ying Tong song was sung for no apparent reason at various times. The series was written by Spike Milligan and produced and directed by Richard Lester. It was followed by Son of Fred later in 1956. A half hour special Best of Fred was broadcast on 18 September 1963 combining surviving sketches from A Show Called Fred and Son of Fred. The 1995 convention of the Goon Show Preservation Society was billed as A Weekend Called Fred.
