Mija, Okja'ya yıllarca bakar ve onunla sağlam bir bağ kurar. 10 yıl sonra Mirando Corporation’ın CEO’su Lucy Mirando (Tilda Swinton), Okja’yı geri almak ister ancak bir yandan da Mija’nın Okja’ya olan aşırı bağlılığından etkilenir ve bunu şirketinin prestijini arttırmak için reklam olarak kullanmak ister. Ancak Mija’nın tek isteği Okja’yı evine geri götürmektir ve bunun için her riski göze alacaktır.
