The story of a group of friends in Madrid.

A group of urbanites flee the city for different reasons: existential, economic crisis, need for fresh air, search for peace, inspiration to compose ... The intention of these strangers is to settle in an abandoned town and start their lives from scratch, but when they arrive they discover that there are still some neighbors: rural people with a very different way of seeing life.

It is a friendship story of five friends who in 1992 suffered a disagreement. Lola reappears in their lives, especially in Tess's, who was her best friend at the time. But she wouldn't do it alone, but with a huge problem in her backpack.

Lola, a Mexican waitress working in Madrid, befriends a 30-year-old suicidal man who has borrowed $1,000,000 to spend on his last day on Earth, knowing he will be killed anyway if he fails to return the money. After meeting Lola, however, he decides that life might be worth living after all.

Sabina lives with and from her parents in her thirties. Another "artist" who drags herself through a Madrid in crisis, surrounded by people even sadder and worst than herself. Chance gives him the opportunity to "kill it" - and why not?

A New York executive is handcuffed to a precious briefcase to which only his Spanish contact holds the key and of which many others are in hot pursuit.
