The beautiful film score is by legendary film composer Ennio Morricone.

Carabinieri's lieutenant Duilio Cordelli is in charge of investigating fake banknotes traffic. He discovers that a 60 billion lira bank robbery is linked with his case. Things get more complicated when the main suspected, Lorenzini, is killed. Moreover, Cordelli villa is blown up and the evidence points to the conclusion the whole case could be solved only by flying to London.

Mauro, a judge, is worried about his older sister Marta, who took care of him since he was a boy, and now suffers from mental illness and suicidal thoughts. She seems to recover from her depression when Mauro acquaints her with Giovanni, a brilliant actor at the edge of legality. However, Mauro becomes unconsciously jealous of their relationship.

In a high school in the outskirts of Rome, it's the last day before the summer holidays. A literature teacher reminisces the past year and wonders what will become of the students he cared for as if they were his children.

In the role of the future President of the Republic, and in his first film role, is actor Maurizio Crozza, alongside Carla Signoris, Ivano Marescotti, and Augusto Zucchi. Broadcast only once on Rai 3 in 2003, it is effectively a "first viewing," having been harshly criticized in its early stages, for private reasons, by Pertini's widow.

Karol: The Pope, The Man is a 2006 TV miniseries chronicling Pope John Paul II's life as pope in flashbacks from October 22, 1978's papal inauguration to his death in 2005 and was directed by Giacomo Battiato. It is the sequel to the 2005 TV miniseries Karol: A Man Who Became Pope, which portrayed John Paul's life before the papacy and ended on October 16, 1978, the day of his papal election.
