Hayatı sinema filmine konu olan Howard Hughes, senaryo yazarı Ben Hecht ve Amerikan sinemasının efsane yönetmenlerinden Howard Hawks’ın 1931 yılında gerçekleştirdikleri bu eser “Klasik” ve “Yön verme” vasıflarını hak eden bir çalışmadır. Eserin ana fikri Tony Guarino isimli karaktere dayandırılan Armitage Trail’in aynı isimli romanına dayanmaktadır.Ufak işlerde pişen Sicilya kökenli serseri Tony Camonte, dağlı teknikleri ve megaloman seviyede ki kazanma hırsıyla Chicago Yeraltı Dünyasının en büyüğü olmaya yemin etmiştir. Dusty falls for nurse April Logan, who is also loved by Mountie Jim Brett. April's brother is involved with Courbeau's daughter Louvette, which leads to trouble during the battles between the rebels and the Mounties. Through it all Dusty is determined to bring Corbeau back to Texas (and April, too, if he can manage it.)

Banacek is an American detective TV series starring George Peppard that aired on the NBC network from 1972 to 1974. The series was part of the rotating NBC Wednesday Mystery Movie anthology. It alternated in its time slot with several other shows but was the only one to last beyond its first season.
